Really?  PS3 exclusives have superior graphics on the PS3?

I guess I can't argue with that, since Halo 3 looks like shit on the PS3, and even though it's not out, God of War 3 probably won't look so good on my Wii.

That stuff is STILL exclusive to the 360, so it has its place on an exclusives list...  And just because things are coming out a year or so later on the PS3 doesn't immediately dismiss it from the list, just as exclusives and exclusive content bleeding over the other way.

I have to laugh at both lists for including dreck like Ninety Nine Nights and Folklore, though...  You guys really scraped the bottom of the barrell for some of this.

Folklore is a severely underrated game, actually. And you can't really say NG2 is an exclusive when it'll be on PS3 within three months of the OP making his choice.

EDIT: I crossed out the last section because they are hopes, and have no confirmation whatsoever. It's like putting Sly 4 or Syphon Filter PS3 on my list. In fact, I even avoided Trico because it doesn't technically exist yet.

Why wait, if you're not willing to pay $400 for a PS3 now then why not get an Arcade for $200 and save yourself the hassle? Both sides will present strong and compelling reasons for both and TBH really doesn't matter if one makes you unhappy the other likely will as well, same applies to actually pleasing you too.

I have all 3 and whilst I play the 360 more, it could just as easily go the other way as well. They are pretty equal really.

I would go with the PS3. I have a 60gb bc PS3 and I can play PS2 and PS1 games on it. If you want to play PS2 and PS1 games then make sure you get a PS3 that can do that. The 360 play original xbox games but not all of them. So if you get a bc PS3 then you will have a larger library of games to from from older to new PS games. You don't have to wait for the PS3 price to drop. New PS3's are selling on ebay at $350 and under.

PS3 is clearly the best console ever. PS3 is much more reliable hardware, free online, free Wi-Fi, best controller and it has the best exclusive games ever in history of all consoles that ever lived. PS3 has the most brand recognition. PS3 is the future of gaming.

As an owner of both, I would say buy an XBox 360. To me, it has a great list of games and awesome Online support. PS3 is very nice for the first party titles that I've wanted to play, but overall I find myself playing the 360 a lot more.


Quick list: XBox 360: Gears of War 1/2, Mass Effect, Fable 2, Left 4 Dead, Halo Wars, Command & Conquer 3, Braid, GTA4: Lost and the Damned (another DLC coming).

PlayStation 3: LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, God of War 3, Resistance, Fat Princess...

I will say though that the XBox 360 does have a better 3rd party game support. They tend to have games that run slightly better on the 360 and more DLC for the 3rd party games.


It's really up to you though, but that is my $.02.
