Forums - Sony - What if Blu-ray, PS3 and PSP died. Would Sony survive?

If PS3,PSP and BD all died then Sony would lose lots of money then go back and see what made PS1,PS2 successful and do that with PS4 and PSP2 and then not release a format for another 20years.The rest of the company would be fine movies,tv's,mp3 players,insurance,chemicals,computers etc etc.

Ok , I was a bit upset when I left last time , and I was a bit afarid that I was telling the wrong thing ( because many people talked against me ) . But still , I started to look around on the internet to try and see , maybe I can find more info , and nothing , absolutly nothing . Maybe that at this point N could have a bigger value than S , but still , my affirmation that share numbers and ammount count is correct , so please , if anyone has any proof that Im wrong correct me , until that I stan along my previous affirmations , and I except apologies :P

1 ok sega has been killed by windows ce...but in the end they failed following sony on their field...if they would have followed nintendo as they always made maybe now they survived...

 1.  ...what?  Did you just suggest Windows CE (an operating system, arguably Microsoft's worst, which came out AFTER Sega went third-party) killed Sega Corp?

2. ...not sure where you are getting these ideas from, but Atari effectively committed suicide nearly simultaneous with the Famicom's launch in Japan.  Sega had nothing to do with it, Nintendo only had to be there to pick up the slack.

 Atari and the C64 killed themselves.  Sega was destroyed by a combination of their own poor advertisement and sales, and Sony's PlayStation.

Thats it , the main reason was the PS2 , whom building on the reputation of the PSone took over the market in matter of months .

Strange thread. Doomed from the beginning.

Well, PSP obviously is no failure.
BluRay - dunno. Don't like Sony's approach there.
PS3 will survive somehow, there's a lot of games in the making, and many developers still feel that HD is the only way to progress. So PS3 might not win this generation, but it will do ok.
Then I heard that their consumer electronics and PC business is doing very well.

So... they will survive.

not to be fanboyish or anything here but over here in the UK sony TV's are shite they are really bad for audio and picture most people now goto samsung and panasonic

I own nothing sony i mean NOTHING cos its shite there TV buisiness is dying DVD players too walkmans are also low phones are still nothing compared to nokia sales

Sony are a Dying bread they must find a place in the new world or perish

Here in the u.s a sony tv is the best tv you can buy, but seeing how your such a fanboy that thinks sony is a dying brand. I could say the same about nintendo or microsoft without having any proof what so ever. Panasonic and samsung dont compare with anything sony.
