I'm not talking about sales of the game but the game causing momentum that will make the PS3 start outselling the 360 on a consistent basis. The last game I remember some people hyping like that was Killzone 2. Will it be Gran Turismo 5 or are there other games that fans seem to think will do it? Or is the general consensus that only a price cut and no amount of games will make it happen.
nothing except for a Price cut.A gaming console have never been this expensive given it's more than 2 years old.($440 or $550 with tax)
I know 2 of my friends who have the money but they are waiting for a 299 price since they say spending 400-500 on a console is insane no matter how many good games it has.I can't blame them.

GT5 is the only possibility other than price cut. FFXIII will give a one-time sales burst but not the kind of lasting effect you are talking about.

The OP is asking about system seller predictions, not game sales predictions. Unless Uncharted 2 will sell 3 million PS3s?

No game will be a system sell for any system unless the system is around $150,i cannot see anyone saying "hey lets go buy a boogaboogastation360 for halozone2:return of lolkitty".
They would how ever say "Hmm this system is $150 and it does have a few good games,i could play besides halozone2:return of lolkitty",The true system seller is a $150 price tag....Unless it has "Nintendo" on it :)

Not really, System Sellers DO exist, guess why i bought a PS3? for Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
Guess why i bought a Xbox 360? Star Ocean: The Last Hope.
So... even though some of them may not have an epic big impact, System sellers are real. :P
