Forums - Nintendo - Star Fox Creator: No Wii Star Fox, Wii is a Toy.

Having played Starfox Command, i only see this as positive.

Anyway, the guy worked with the two first games (from which the second was never released) and the latest installment, so i don't think anybody really is losing anything, considering Lylat Wars being the best game in the franchise (the one that was developed by Nintendo EAD).

Other than that, seems to be one of those whiners again whose current projects are on a wrong system.

My pages are a hundred posts long, which makes this kind of hilarious.

That's right. Starfox doesn't belong on a toy platform. He's Serious Business, and he belongs on a Serious Business platform. Like, Windows 95 or something.

Check out my game about moles ^

Ok, that developer is clearly insane.

And how do people not understand the difference between video games and toys. Toys are basically physical hardware that one must use their own imagination to enjoy. Games are series of challenges based on skill that are usually fun for the player. Video Games are games made up using virtual and digital technology.

The Wii is neither of these things, the Wii is a console. It is a tool made to play video games. So saying that the Wii is a toy is a ludicrous statement. If you say that the Wii doesn't have good video games on it, then whose fault is that? The developers, this guy.

It is interesting how quotes get twisted and tangled.

The Wii=Toy comment came in an exchange about using the Wii remote for a new Star Fox game. What I don't get is how the Wii on its side would be different currently vs. WP+, unless he misinterpreted the question (which is very possible from the context). I am not even sure from his response if he has even tried the Wii.

G4: So you’d never like to make one for Wii where you control it with the Wiimote on it’s side?

Cuthbert: Yeah, no the Wii controller would be a bit too hard to use. I don’t know…maybe the new one…

G4: Motion Plus?

Cuthbert: Yeah. Maybe that’d be more fun to play with. I don’t know. The Wii is a bit more of a toy, I think.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
