^ I would like THAT answered
ok I can see that COD4 is still selling so no need for a price cut, but why the hell Uncharted - R&C:TOD and Heavenly Sward still in full price !!!!
they are not selling any where near COD4 sales and they have been Platinum in Europe for ages so what's wrong with SCEA !!
LOL I just got back from wal mart and it is now $68. Looks like Activision needs mere money in Canada. Most other games are still $59.99
because its simple economics. The demand for this game is stil very high over a year and a half after it first came out. Because its relatively inelastic, a small change in price would not hurt game sales mcuh at all, so they keep it at 59.99 dollars as they can still sell the game quite easily.
Projecting your own cheapness onto "most people" is fallacious. Evidently there are still enough people willing to pay $60 that it is, in fact, worth $60.
If you absolutely must pay less, then buy used. Contrary to popular belief, this will neither kill you nor make you any less of a gamer.

Maybe the same reason I see Wii Fit, SMG, Mario Kart Wii at the same price since release?
Demand.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing

At least here almost all games are sold half price after six month from their debut (COD4 GOTY 29€). I wonder why in USA price drops takes so much time.
Because of the simple fact that halving the game's price won't cause the sales to double.
Therefore, weekly revenue will be lower. What's more, higher sales and lower revenues would mean that profits will also be substantially lower.
I know when I was trying to find a new copy of Uncharted, it was quite difficult to find it (Gamestop didn't have one and neither did Best Buy) and it took like a week of looking to finally get one. The demand for the games are still high enough that they don't need to drop the price. Of course, once the new ones get closer to release, then I'm sure the older ones will drop in price.
They'll lower it soon enough, don't worry. Halo was 49.99 until 2004 I believe, or maybe it was 2003.
