I don't think that people are at all threatened by the PS3. I think the main problem is the PS fanboys have a tendency to be rude and condescending. They act as if the PS3 is still the system leader, demanding exclusives for a system that isn't selling particularly well, and spamming message boards with how other systems will fail and theirs will be successful. All this childish behavior has just made people turn against the PS3.

I also think saying that the PS3 will not be the market leader is plain reality, or at least very likely, and not evidence of a society threatened by the PS3.

You are not able to learn anything, right? I remember a thread ages ago where I proved you wrong when you tried to argue how the PS3 will make a comeback, but you are still making the same ridiculous claims.

You are lucky though. The sun is shining, the temperatures are rising, it is friday, and, most importantly, your posts make me laugh. Because of all these reasons, I'll explain it to you one more time:

Two games are not enough, especially not when the fanbase of these games already owns the console.
I'm in the right mood, so let's do some funny math. let's assume that FF XIII sells 5 million copies worldwide (less than previous installments because it's multiplat) and GT sells 10 million copies worldwide. Let us further assume that every single buyer of these games only buys one or the other, not both, and everyone buys a PS3.
That would add up to 15 million PS3's sold.

Now go and check the current gap between the PS3 and the Wii.

I don't think most user are threatened by the PS3 at all. I do think they are sick of the illogical arguments fanboys list for a PS3 comeback. No matter what kind of facts you list. No matter how much logic you use, fanboys post the same ridiculous arguments over and over again.

By this time last gen, the bulk X-box and Gamecube fans realized that the PS2 was ahead to stay. PS3 fanboys are whole another animal. The PS3 is tracking well behind the PS2 and PS1. Somehow the Sony fanboys don't want to accept that and think the PS3 will still sell 100 million units and sell more than the PS1. Insanity is repeating the same action and expecting a different result. If fanboys would just enjoy there consoles and stop posting ridiculous nonsense, we'd all be better for it.

I don't think anyone has said that the PS3 will overtake the ps1. We just get annoyed at Xbots creating thread upon thread about the ps3, proving their insecurity. Everybody is going around claiming that the PS3 is doomed despite it selling almost as much as the 360 at a 2 times higher price.

Well, thats their opinion. I haven't looked at the comparisons between ps3 and ps1 so I don't have an opinion on the matter. But if you think that's incredulous then what about the xbots who say that the 360 has a better 2009 lineup than ps3? What about those who say that the 360 gives better value? What about those who celebrate everywhere on the forums after the 360 outsells the ps3 by a mere 29k, despite the ps3 being twice the price?

Actually, after looking at data, I think that by the end of this gen the ps3 would've not only outsold the 360 but also the ps1.

The ps3 was also selling on par with the ps2 till a few weeks ago
