What has me scratching my head is the dismal PSP sales compared to last year (though to be fair, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G came out last year).

But yeah, colors.

And I like the fact that for WoW numbers, 360 and PS3's numbers are only 3 units apart.

I vote yes on proposition 66581 (proposition: make the WorldWide Sales thread a weekly addition, by Smeags).

 Also, I'll add in handhelds to Kow's numbers.

He's talking about the week-over-week difference.

@Kowenicki & Oyv

Sounds like a plan.

@Point X

I meant that by the amount of units the two consoles lost from last week, 360 lost 21,612 units and PS3 lost 21, 615... only 3 units. Crazy.

@Oyv

I believe that Wii was down YoY last week right? Great growth for 360 though. Good to see PS3 hanging in there as well.

Monster Hunter freedom 2 release last year. That's why PSP is so damn down yoy.

man no wonder the wii was getting so many doomed threads last year, it seems like it is 50-150k higher than last year every week.

360 extends its ever growing lead :)

Smeags do one of these threads every week with an awesome picture and you will be rolling in it VG$$$$

Bit of extra data for you.....  very interesting.

360 up over 1 million.

It took the 360 until near the end of may to reach this amount last year.

nice...great YoY for 360, and with the line-up at E3, it's going to be another record year for the 360.

The data doesn't lie...360 is not going away anytime soon, as many had predicted.  M$ has done an "Apple" in breaking into the domain of previously dominate Japan companies with the Xbox brand.  People have this innate hatred for M$, and it really clouds how much of an accomplish the xbox family truly is.  When the 360 was launched, Sony and Nintendo absolutely dominated the sphere, and of course, only a company like M$, with deep cash reserves could have survived the financial cost, but it did, and the 360 is thriving.  At the launch of this generation, the estimates were bleak for the 360, but here it is…in year 4, and the console is going to top the last gen’s tally by nearly 10 million…with 3-4 more years at the very least of being a top shelf console.
