If the 360 controller wasn't a rip off of every controller ever from the Super famicom, to the PS2 then there might be any point here at all.

All controls are pretty similar. Onlive's has its own features that make it unique though.

More like because it's exactly the same with a different skin on top and some added buttons.

Granted I don't know much about how these laws work, but I heard that Microsoft's atrocious d-pad design is due to not being able to copy other controllers, so maybe Microsoft does have some grounds to sue?

I think slight shape and size changes are often enough to avoid lawsuits in these kinds of situations. It's why 3rd Party controllers always have such odd looks to them.

On an unrelated note, they actually named their face buttons L, I, V, E? Yeesh. =P

@Megadude: I suppose you have point with showing a radically different controller than the other two, but I'm not really getting it :P

The only similarity I see between that controller and the other two is the disposition of the four buttons. The rest isn't even close.

The Live controller looks sleek but uncomfortable..

They should sue. :p
