Lower the graphics and get that extra boost of resolution.  Resolution enhances gameplay in FPS.

Not everyone can experience the benefit of 1080p, but everyone can appreciate a smooth frame rate which is key in FPS. If you can get 1080p and 60fps, then great but if there has to be compromise then it makes sense that it's in resolution.

It would look terrible, and sell less as a result. An option for 1080p 60fps and worse graphics would work, but I'd guess that developers don't think there's a large enough market for it to be worth the additional cost. The hardcore competitve FPS players are primarily on the PC.

When I play KZ2 in 720p... I see it is 720p compared to the 1080p of Gears of War 2 .. upscaled or not...

i think you can play all the FPS at 1080p on the 360 because upscaled 1080p isnt that much difference from native 1080p.

Last time I checked at the Sony Center, the salesman told me I have no reason to change. The processor is still superior to the large majority of the current offer they have... except if I want to upgrade to a x4500 (roughly 5.000 € for 46'')
