Theres no bias. I dont have Heavy Rain in my sig for no reason. Heavy Rain already is by far the most impressive graphics Ive seen from the PS3. Mass Effect looked damn fine on my 360 at 720p, it had issues with load times and 3 secs to load textures but once it was loaded in provides some of the best character models Ive ever seen. The environments were no slouch either. Fable 2 also had incredible lighting and an art style to die for. With Banjo I refer to platformers in the cutesy department. Ratchet, Banjo, Galaxy. And yes I think it's better than Ratchet. But POP, Assasins Creed etc are more than just platformers. KZ2 is beautiful, but to say that the 360 cant do graphics equal or better is laughable. By the gens end there will be 10+ games better looking on the 360 alone than KZ2. Their is plenty of room for code optimization on both consoles. And Risen is this.

oh that. I Didn't wanna comment in the other thread because i figured i'd be called biased or whatever, but i frankly don't think it looks special. I mean it looks good no doubt, but we've seen games out now that already looks better. Especially the ground vegetation. Although ofcourse that is a thing that's hard to make.
I'm also not saying the 360 wont be able to pull something like killzone 2. But if you look at it, within 2 years the ps3 has catched up to, and surpassed the 360 visually. Now if it's done that in 2 years time, imagine how it'll look in a year, or 3 years down the road. I mean if sony continues to push it like they do. Which is another important factor. While microsoft is shutting their first party divisions down, sony is pushing them more than ever.. and the result.. Stunning.
the 360 will never have something like killzone. look at ms big franchise halo and halo3 graphics were crappy. anyways move on. and what are those screens for? i think uncharted looks better than those screens. but thats me.

I hope there will come out a CriEngine3 multiplatform game soon so this KZ2 argument can be put to rest.
I think MS did too much too early, and now they're out of steam. Whilst Sony has continued at a steady pace and are imo in a better position for the future

I just reasearched this "Risen" game. It sound cool and all, its got my interest peaked for one. Yet the images shown for it are said to be running off of PC(by IGN)
http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/966/966062p1.html
The same issue for Alan Wake, which has yet to be shown running on 360 hardware.
Mass Effect was a good looking game, pretty too......pretty damn bright! The light intensity was off the charts. Everything was super shiney and unrealistic. I believe this was a ploy to cover up some unwanted graphics.

I agree with you there. Sony have put alot of effort into first party titles. That I believe is the reason why the PS3 has done well in 2 years. The 3rd party games though are taking alot longer. But M$ have sent there own guys out to alot of 3rd party devs like Remedy, Bioware and Epic to assist in getting the best from 360. So they havent done to bad on that front. M$ have stated though that they have got many 1st party titles unannounced that look amazing. I'm guessing these will be shown at E3 ( considering M$ is spending a hell of alot of money on this years E3).
My main original point though is that KZ2 can of course be done on 360. It would just need to be coded different. The 2 machines need coding in very different ways. As the code stands it couldnt be done. But it could be rewritten to behave and look just as good. (although probably on 2 discs.)

You just owned yourself. The developer your putting down, is very widely thought of at GDC. In other words he knows his stuff. :)

righhhhhhhhhttttttttt............... just as AIG was thought of......... ;)
Yeah, it could be done IMO. forevercould mentioned how 360 fans are in denial that the PS3 is more powerful than the 360, which is true. But he didn't mention how PS3 fans are in denial that the 360 is capable of running Killzone 2. So far the system hasn't shown a game quite to that level, but there's no proof it can't handle it either. So let's just wait and see.

Link? Because I found that he worked on netcode and on weapon design in Ubisoft's GRAW and as lead designer for gameplay in Bungie. Nothing near the graphics or AI engine. Did he present a talk at GDC?
