"The worst thing about “Mass Effect” might be… fixed?

***

When I spoke to BioWare’s Ray Muzyka about the things they’re fixing in “Mass Effect 2,” he had said that the developers were “reducing the elevator speed times.” We think he meant reducing load times; those elevator rides in “Mass Effect” couldn’t get any longer.

To clarify, we followed up with BioWare, and Casey Hudson, executive director of “Mass Effect 2″ said this to MTV Multiplayer:

“We have a completely new system to handle transitions between areas that speeds the load times and turns the loads themselves into part of the game experience. It’s one of many points of feedback we’ve heard and directly responded to in enhancing the gameplay in ‘Mass Effect 2.’”

Guess that means no more small talk or awkward silences."

NICE!!

I enjoyed the small chats in the elevators

Keep the chats but lower the load times.

Yeah the elevators werent so bad.

on my PC it wasn't so bad, I think fixing the inventory is more important than the elevators

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

True, but the PC handled these sequences much better than the 360 version. In fact, I have to give Bioware credit for making several great upgrades for the PC port.

they were pretty annoying. especially if i went up one, but then discovered i was going the wrong way, and i had to get back on the elevator!

^ ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh those were the worst man lol

I didn't mind the talking, but the speed really got to me.

Well, those elevator sequences are still long in PCs that have as slow hd as X360 dvd is. (Try those with usb1 driver and usb hard disk. ;) )
