Just for the record that was during the week bridging November and December =P So not exactly a historically slow week.

In addition, the PS2 had 6-7 weeks below 30k at various times in its first year in Japan.

We're still only 2 weeks removed from obon, all console sales dropped. Wii's sales dropped slightly more than the others, but it's not that much different. Gonna have to wait and see but my guess is everything will trend upwards again. As you can see DS only sold 94k, so you know things are really slow right now.

We're toward the end of the slow season. That's probably the time when systems sell the worst. I'll bet you it's going to start climbing RAPIDLY within the next month (of course, all systems probably will).

Wii has been dropping pretty quick lately. And its not a supply issue.
I think this will continue until MP3 or Mario Galaxy comes out.
crappy old school NES games are more entertaining than next-gen games.
