PS3 Fans are just reaching ps3 will never outsell wii in japan,europe or the states. Wii fit to me has more potential than ff13 ms4 or any other game for that matter. I think that will put the ps3 away for good when that comes out

This guy does weekly store reports from Japan for many weeks (so dont cry that he is biased). He says Wii is available at most stores. It's also said to be available at amazon.jp, though I dont put much value in that because the Japanese tend to shun American companies (like Microsoft, or Amazon). 


You DO know that anecdotal evidence has next to no value when dealing with large systems? And I see no qualifications here except that he has the time to count consoles at local stores.

At current rates, Nintendo could take the Wii off the market tomorrow and Sony wouldn't catch up until the next E3.

 You know the PS3 is tracking below the GC in LTD totals and is pacing its way to less than 4 million total. Notice I said pacing I think realistically hte PS3 will end up with 7 million in Japan LTD at the end of the generation it is going to get a few sales bumps from price cuts and game releases. Sales itself will actually drop slightly more next year when Blu ray players enter a different pricing range than the PS3 and some of the people who buy the PS3 as blu ray player stop doing so...on the plus side the attach rate will go up.

I was speculating as I believe the purpose of this site is. I just don't believe any 2 or even 10 games can save a doomed console (zelda oot, mario 64, mk 64, nights, shenmue, metal gear po, locoroco,etc)

A few weeks doesn't make a whole generation...

It will take another few months to decide whether this is a long term issue or just a blip of time...

All consoles were down significantly the past few weeks in Japan.
