That may be the last time an analyst was right this generation.

What is so amusing is that everything "predicted" in jest actually happened. Maybe the key to being a good analyst is not to take it so seriously.

I am quoted in an article right when they switched the name from Revolution to Wii. My quotes he took from me weren't the best but I predicted a Nintendo comeback (it was easier at the time due to Nintendo riding high on the DS). Texas Tech newspaper called me up a day or two after it happened. I was at the time founder of the Nintendo Fan Club on Texas Tech Facebook network. Here is the link to article if you care to read it. It is kind of funny at the end from one guy thinking Wii name sucks. Here are some of his quotes..

"I just can't picture myself walking into Best Buy and saying, 'Can you point me to the Nintendo Wii section?'" he said.

"If you strapped a pair of those prosthetic truck balls onto this machine, you could not make it masculine," he said. "Over here it's just a very childish name."
