With all the over-passionate hoopla over Final Fantasy 7, far better remake-able games out there are being ignored. What about these ones that I drool at the prospect of:

1.) Xenogears - what can possibly be better than giant robot kung fu in HD :O

2.) Altered Beast - POWER UP! in digital 7.1 surround sound :O

3.) After Burner - nowadays, air combat sims just aren't able to give you that sense of speed anymore.. After Burner certainly does!

4.) Streets of Rage - 200 3D Galsias in one screen...

5.) Super Mario Bros. 3 - i still believe that this is the deepest and most enjoyable mario ever made.

I'm far more interested in titles like these making their way to HD than a game about an emo-yellowhead who can't make up his mind.

Why would I need remakes ?

sometimes only 1/3 of a game saw release outside of Japan, like with Shining Force 3 in which only the first part saw release in the US and Europe, which is why it could definitely use a remake/port as long as it included all three scenarios

yh a vagrant story sequel would be awesome the ,  this game is my favorite rpg and game, so a sequel would be awesome or a remake for psp 

I want new games or sequels, remakes of old games suck

A remake of Chrono Trigger (not some DS port), where its all completely Akira Toriyama style and playing it will look like you're watching a Dragonball Z episode.
