Delay that price drop you fools: I have some Ideas for bundles that would push many units:

The fighting bundle: Includes SF4 and Fight Club bluray.

The Criminal bundle: GTA 4 and Goodfellas Bluray.

Planet Bundle: Little Big Planet and Planet Earth Bluray. (unrealistic)

Girly Bundle: Titanic on Bluray and.... Erm Super Puzzle Fighter HD?

War Bundle: Call of Duty WAW and Saving Private Ryan bluray.

So yeah I think that Sony should make some bundles showing off the power of its games AND Bluray. It will entice casuals with the Movie and with a good enough game the casuals will be compelled to invest more in gaming.

So what are your ideas for a PS3 bundle? Be realistic don't just say somthing like "they should include a golden dildo with each system". We all know that would be too expensive.

They'd be better off with a price cut of $50 than these bundles.

yeah, this would defeat the purpose of postponing the price drop, they would probably lose more doing these bundles

awhile back, i read this article on gamespot talking about hybrid movie-games. so i think its pretty useless to bundle movies and games if theyre going to make hybrids, dont you think?

Bundles most likely have to be first party, not third party.

Sony is really close with Rockstar, so they had GTA4 bundled with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue in EU [I heard]

I was really hoping for Sony to bundle MotorStorm and Resistance: Fall of Man, then they did :P. The reason why I wanted them to be bundled is because if the customers like it, then they will most likely buy MotorStorm Pacific Rift or Resistance 2, which will contribute to more sales of software :P

I'm all about it since most Multiplats fit on a Single DVD these days anyway.

Right. All of these enticements people come up with always amount to "spend more money Sony." Cutting the price, adding in third party games (This is how WaWar would get in the PS3 box: Sony spends 40-50 dollars on each copy, puts it in the box, and voila! It's a bundle), and advertise more.

The original, 599.99 price of the PS3 can be viewed as a massive, billion dollar ad campaign. Instead of putting ads on television, they put their ad in the price: here is an 800 dollar machine for 600! Sony could have spent a billion dollars on advertising instead, but offered the system at an 800 dollar price tag.

Sony has already spent, and they've spent big. If the system isn't selling well enough to meet your personal hopes, it's not because Sony hasn't tried hard enough, it's because people don't want it.
