Here where I live with the same money to buy an Xbox 360 Arcade you could buy a PS2 along with a Nintendo DS.

I am thinking about it. The 360 or the PS2-DS Combo? Which one would you buy?

Drop the PS2, buy a DS and more games.

PS2 and Nintendo DS.
You get a great console and an AWESOME handheld system. (that's still current generation)

xbox 360. it has a awesome games and will keep getting more awesome games as it goes on. plus viva pinata and kameo. :)

If I didn't have any systems, I would go for the DS/PS2 combo. Not only are your home and portable needs met, but you have access to a vast library, filled with excellent games in every genre, for both consoles. And on top of that, many of the games are quite cheap.......you could probably pick up a lot of PS2 games at low prices.

Your tastes, dude? if you favor JRPG's, you can't go wrong with the PS2+DS.

PS2-DS Combo, both awesome systems. With those two, you can get more awesome game than on the 360.

The PS2 has one of the biggest and best catalogs ever (if not the best), so you won't go wrong with that one alone. Add the DS into the mix, and the choice is obvious. Simply, you need to have a PS2, it's one of those things you just can't pass on. It has way too many great games to do so

Wow this is totally unfair. DS and PS2 definitely. Shoot, I think the DS alone would be better to grab than the 360.
