If I didn't have any systems, I would go for the DS/PS2 combo. Not only are your home and portable needs met, but you have access to a vast library, filled with excellent games in every genre, for both consoles. And on top of that, many of the games are quite cheap.......you could probably pick up a lot of PS2 games at low prices.
