Final Fantasy XIII: New ATB Screens from Famitsu

Famitsu have got their hands on some brand new screenshots showing us mainly the Active Time Battle system in Final Fantasy XIII. We get a first look at the ‘Battle Results‘ screen as well, which gives you your stats, TP bonus, and rank. The rank is out of five stars.

Right now, the battle system’s looking pretty great. As much as I’m looking forward to Final Fantasy XIII though, I can’t help but wanting to hear more about Versus XIII instead. It just seems so much more Final Fantasy VIIish. Hit the jump to see the screens.

The lightning and shadows look very impressive, especially when you consider that the game is not a 1st person shooter made to showcase the hardware power.

Battle stats screen look simple and stylish, unlike in most other RPGs.

The first pic of the girl has to be CGI.

Yea, it is. I remember a similar image on a trailer I downloaded from the PSStore... I'm pretty sure that's it but I can't be too sure.

OT: Sadly I won't even get to play the damn game b4 I hit college... I hope I'm not too busy at that point...
