O boy, here's another 100+ post thread.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

I still don't understand how a company "wins" E3...?

Best presentations. Best news. Last year was very weak E3 but most people thought MS won it with the rights to have Final Fantasy multiplatform in Europe and the US. That was more of a major blow to Sony then anything else.

This year I think Sony is going to win it with the announcement of a price drop and future exclusives.

I think Microsoft will come last as this looks to be a calm year as they gear up for a bigger year next year.

ok then:

the guy who made OnLive(if they go)

You can't win something like E3.

If the question is who do I think will have the best E3, then my answer would be Nintendo, because I believe that the best games shown there will be on their platforms. Furthermore, they will be getting the most games and games that appeal to more than the North American market.

Microsoft, in my opinion, isn't really in a position to outshine Nintendo or Sony this year. I don't really no what to expect from them.

Sony will have a good show. They'll share a lot of quality third-party games with Microsoft in addition to first-party exclusives that a lot of people are excited for. Gran Turismo, God of War, Uncharted 2 and the new Ratchet game will be great. Plus, there's always the possibility of great new games.

E3 2009 should be great.

I think Nintendo implied they will be doing more for E3 this year than last, so unless Microsoft or Sony comes up with something unexpected, it's going to Nintendo. Also, given the sales for the Wii, it is likely to get the most 3rd party support and exclusives and likely to win by default as developers have now had enough time to get some major projects ready for announcement or demo.

Nintendo showed practically nothing at E3 2007 so I was expecting a lot for E3 2008 and look..... The fact that they didn't show anything last year does not mean that they are going to do this.
However, Iwata told that this E3 is going to be BIG. I also remember Reggie saying that they had a BIG holiday season title for E3 2008.....and then it was Animal Crossing. I really hope they come up with something bg this year, last two has been quite disappointing.
That's what I expect from each company:

MICROSOFT

· Splinter Cell Conviction.
· Alan Wake gameplay and a release date for the holiday season.
· Some secret software from Rare, maybe Killer Instinct?
· Mass Effect 2
· Some Halo news.

SONY

· Hideo Kojimo new project.
· New ICO team project.
· God of War III and Gran Turismo 5 for 2010.
· Uncharted 2 and Rachet and Clank for this holidays.
· Heavy Rain gameplay and a release date.

NINTENDO

· New Zelda Wii for 2010.
· Pikmin 3 for this holidays.
· Mario team game.
· Retro Studios game.
· Factor 5 project.

MULTIPLATFORM

· Bioshock 2.
· Lost Plannet 2 and Dead Rising 2.
· Final Fantasy XIII.
· Modern Warfare 2
· Dead Space 2.

Sony.

@David:

You're most likely going to be let down by Nintendo if you're expecting all of that.
