So the MASTER of Spin as he is fondly known has arrived to give one of our best interviews for YOU listeners....oh and he REVEALS his PS3 Purchase Date!

Q1. Lets start of with a good old cliched question......how has Vg Chartz been for you so far? are you happy witht he growth it has seen & so on?
I have found VGChartz too be a very rewarding and fulfilling window into the world of video games. This is the first and only forum of which I am an active member. Generally, and with a few notable exceptions, I have found my experiences here to be as good as any other experience you can have on the internet. Unfortunately, of late I have felt that a lot of users are moderated and disciplined not according to the content of their posts, but according to the reaction of others to those posts.
The problem with this is that someone can make a perfectly reasonable argument, which you may agree or disagree with. But instead, a harem of posters simply attack the arguer rather than the argument, attempting to invalidate what they are saying through personal attacks and wrongful accusations of trolling. Whilst historically this problem has occured on rare and manageable occassions when someone criticises Nintendo's approach, lets call a spade a spade and point out that the current issue is overwhelmingly caused by and over-sensitive group of Sony fans. To name names in this answer would be to stoop to their level, but we understand who we are discussing.
Unfortunately, the moderators attitudes are almost lazy. Rather than actually recognise that an OP is not trolling, and banning the group of fanboys attacking the poster, they simply ban the OP. I do not agree with that philosophy, and feel it is starting to damage the community.
Q2. Now in your time on this site.....I am SURE you have made bonds with fellow xbox 360 warriors.....and maybe some illegal bonds with other console fans to! Care to name your friends and foes on VGC for our listeners?!
There are some genuine legends on this site. The likes of Squilliam, PSrock. I dont know if he is still around with some new Alias, but a bloke called Lost Tears of Kaine was pretty cool too. I used to get along really well with DMeisterJ too, but then FFXIII went multiplatform and he has never been the same. I worry about him sometimes. The pain of being so jaded and cynical must be extraordinary. The irony is, all his posts asserting that people's arguments are based on rumour and speculation are in fact normally, speculation themselves.
As for the foes? I never really trouble to dislike anyone. The only time anyone gets too me is when the typical group I mentioned in the last answer successfully get someone banned through noise-making and trolling rather than righteous argument.
Q3. Now this is a question all of us have been waiting for. Can you now EXCLUSIVELY REVEAL the date that your going to buying a Ps3 on?!
This is a tricky question. Put it this way. If the PS3 gets a price cut and I dont already own one, I'll buy it then and there. Whilst I accept that the console is expensive and doesn't have as many good games as the Xbox 360, it's library of good exclusives is slowly starting to grow, and Heavy Rain and God of War 3 are getting closer.
Most Australians are getting $900 this month or next, so I may use mine to simply pick up a PS3 immediately.
As such, it is almost certain I will own a PS3 this year, failing some massive financial strife. When I do, I shall have to purchase Killzone 2, something I will be happy to do to fulfill my bet to Makingmusic and to play the first exclusive AAA shooter on the PS3. Of course, if I was hit by such strife, I would eventually sell my soul to buy a PS3 and play Versus.
Q4. After you buy it I'm sure you'll want to get games....which ones will you get? Also are you still looking forward to Versus XIII
Games on the immediate list are:
- Heavy Rain
- God of War 3 (loved the first two)
- Killzone 2 (no need for the Resistances, I have been spoiled by better shooters on the Xbox 360)
- Versus I would pay $200 for at this point.
- Titles I'd pick up very cheap include Uncharted and White Knight Chronicles
Q5. Name 5 GAMES this gen that have impressed you to hell?!
- Super Mario Galaxy. I'm just over halfway through and it's brilliant
- Bioshock. Just Wow.
- Fable 2. This one was just great. The ending was absolutely superb.
- Saint's Row. It wipes the floor with GTA.
- MASS EFFECT!!!! Word's cannot describe how amazing this title is.
Q6. Name 2 things this gen one of the BIG 3 has done that you liked.....and 2 that you didn't like?!
I love the Live Arcade. And I love that with that Microsoft got the other console makers to follow them. I also like Nintendo's attempt to expand the market.
I despise Nintendo's casual approach. I don't like that Sony lied so blatantly about the technical advantages of the PS3.
Q7. Now thankyou very much for that fabulous interview and great reveal....oh but we'r not letting you go yet....NOT UNTIL you reveal where you learnt the art of "spinning"?!
I resent the suggestion that I have ever attempted to spin anything, so instead of answering this question I'll just offer some general comments on the industry.
It was particularly unfortunate to hear that Sony has begun the withdrawal of the failed PS3 from the global market, starting in South Korea this week just gone. It is undoubtedely a result of the Xbox 360's ability to sell more third party software than the other next-generation consoles combined (revenue based numbers, only in the USA, non-aligned launches) leading to a lack of profit for Sony.
Q8. Finally what do you think about UnReal Talk & its host (me!)?
I've been impressed with the turn around in your behaviour of late Darth. You are not the fanboy you once were, and are capable of taking a balanced view of things like me. Also like me, you recognise the value of those consoles you do not yet own, and endeavour to own them one day.
