@MaxwellGT200
Aren't similitudes grand? When you want to spin being slow into being good nothing beats the old "male sexual prowess" one :) Unless you're so slow at coming up with anything good that the lady loses her interest, of course.
But cutting it, I don't think Madworld bombed, but I also don't believe in the Wii legs fairy.
Care to make a bet about its legs? I bet one month signature that it won't pass 500k by the end of the year.

Hell, I'll take that bet. Not sure I'll win, but it'll be fun. You are ON, sir!

@Majin-Tenshinhan
Aww, you don't strike me as a missionary of the Wii Legs Fairy Church...
Anyway, I suppose that being willing to take the bet qualifies you as faithful enough :)
So, what is the usual procedure? Must we add the terms to our signature? I'm a newbie...

I'm so glad this game didnt sell just like I hated Sin City.

That's not "just like" the other thing at all

 Wots the difference? The humor in Sin City was terrible.

What humour?  Sin City is based after a Noire style graphic novel.  Sin City was excellent and Madworld has nothing in common with Sin City other than being black and white.  But so are many Comics/Graphic Novels.

But Madworld and Sin City are nothing alike.

it works both ways i think this would have been much smarter to release this game on the PS360. Sure it probably would not have been a huge game but atleast it could have broken 500K sales. Heck if M$ advertised it it might have even hit 1M. But thats just me speculating

But 500k on the HD consoles won't make Sega any profit, whereas on the Wii it means quite a healthy profit.

Just beat the game, it's awesome, I had a lot of fun and I'll do it again in hard mode. Voice acting is the best I've seen since the announcer in Rock'n'Roll Racing on Snes.

The situation reminds me Ikaruga on GC. Damn freakin niche game !

We see claims like this a lot about games like MadWorld and/or No More Heroes but is there really any evidence that this is true? Games like Killer7, Okami, Psychonaughts and Viewtiful Joe still struggled  on previous generation consoles even though those consoles were positioned in a very similar way to how the current HD consoles are positioned in the market.

To be entirely honest, I think that people blame the Wii (and Wii owners) for a problem that exists across all platforms throughout all generations ... There are a certain number of good games (quite often new IPs in niche genres) that don't sell particularly well. When these games' budgets are reasonably small (No More Heroes comes to mind) the publisher and developer still see the small sales as being a success because they turned a profit off of it, at the same time when the budget is too large (Psychonaughts, Okami, or Indigo Prophecy) these games get seen as being a failure and can even force the publisher into bankrupcy.

I don't personally see why MadWorld would be more successful on the HD consoles and, if its budget was increased on the scale we see for most HD console games, the sales improvement couldn't possibly be enough to produce a healthier return on investment.

Madworld is really a spiritual successor to Godhand and Godhand was not a big runaway success either in sales but did gather a good cult fanbase.
