Forums - Microsoft - Is it difficult to set up wireless on the Xbox 360?

I have heard many people get MANY problems doing this, I'm moving house in the next few days and I will be buying a roouter and an Xbox 360 adaptor, I just want to know what I''m letting myself in for and what I can do to make it as painless as possible.

Im dont know from experience but the 360 is easy to use so im guessing it will be easy as well.

You would think wouldn't you? I had so many problems with even a wired connection before, dread to think what a wireless one is going to be like.

Hmmm,that sucks.

it's pretty painless actually. I have had way more issues with my ps3. My 360 just connects:) The wireless is way better too, and you know it should be if you are going to pay a 100 bucks... but yeah, very very easy and painless.

My cousin has one. The only problem he had is that the Auto-IP/DNS wouldn't work and I had to assign it one manually. Eventually that problem dissapeared, although im not sure why.

Also the other problem he had is that well, I had to resetthe router for him, along w/ the xbox in order for it to pass the test.

Pretty easy to set up.

The most painful thing for me was the price.

$99 = mega-ouch.

besides, why take it off the wire and make it slower when you can keep it on the wire and at full-speed?

I don't live in america so I won't be paying $99, and why assume I can keep it wired?
