Well I played it with the GC pad and can't say I liked it... analogue shoulder buttons feel wrong for games designed without them.
As for Khuutras graphical justification... what use is it if it looks like ass for the first half of the game?
Perhaps I am in the minority here though, given I was also very dissapointed in one of my other VC purchases: Lylat Wars (Starfox 64 to you Americans). It doesn't help with that game that it doesn't seem to explain how you get to the other planets, (I got to the last level with the route along all the lowest planets) I had to look online to find out that the entrances to them seem to be hidden along in the middle of levels. And I just couldn't be bothered doing them in the end... so I only played that for about 2.5 hours. (The average for that on the Nintendo Channel is a more respectable 4.5 hours)
Or perhaps the two games have simply not aged well and I am not acting upon nostalgia? because I thoroughly enjoyed Super Mario 64... another game I had not played before Virtual Console. So I conclude SM64 aged a hell of a lot better than Lylat Wars and S&P.
