I played the original everquest, but havn't played the second cause of my pc falling behing. My new pc which i have been saving up for for about 6 months now is almost finished (3 more weeks yay!) so I was looking up mmo's for me to play ands glanced at everquest II to find it's developed by sony online entertainment. All ps3's have hard drives. I see no reason for it not to be.

This would have been perfect to satiate my MMO needs until my pc was built as I'm a huge MMO fan, especially FFXI. I beleive many people without the budget to get a decent pc, but still wanted some good MMO goodness or wanted to test the waters of one could have turned to a PS3 version of this. If it was put on a console, i think it would still have some of that spotlight it use to have.

I'll take it no MMO fans around right now or something?

i talked about that, i said why not SOE make Everquest and Planetside on the PS3 , since SOE = Sony Online Entertainment
but they are working on The Agency . Free Realms , DC Universe for now.

yeah, im happy to see those, but everquest came out a long time ago, could have been a launch game ( havn't looked up release dates so i could be wrong) Everquest was a huge title back then, it seriously could have had a bit of a chance to keep on top at least in consoles.

All future SOE games will be on PS3 too Sony said. An Everquest 2 port will probably be too long and rough at this point.

I think most MMO fans are PC gamers... And most users on this site are console gamers. The first sentence should also answer your actual question.

EQII was out 2 years before the PS3 launched.

Because EQII is really not all that popular anymore.

They are working on three projects now , and if they want to release Everquest on Ps3 they NEED to revamp it and that will take time
