When I tried it and it felt like I was playing "Baby's first RTS." You can't make an RTS game with much less strategy and depth than that and still call it an RTS.

Yes, but it does work well on a console

Sorry, too many years of playing PC RTS games to lower my standards that much.

I have no problem with your opinion of the game. What does bother me is your implication that all veterans of PC RTSs feel the same way. This is simply false; I've been playing PC RTSs since Dune 2, and I find Halo Wars a solid and fun RTS. I know others like me who feel the same way, and have seen posts on other forums from PC gamers who enjoy Halo Wars.

halo wars isn't showing better legs. Its been out in NA for a week less and its also released in Japan.

Killzone 2 is showing better "legs" so far but its far too soon to tell really.

Better legs???

Killzone
Week 1: 713,675
Week 2: 311,364
Week 3: 131,974
Week 4: 84,394

Halo Wars
Week 1: 607,362
Week 2: 199,286
Week 3: 105,475
Week 4: ??? (only next week)

Then, I think not.

halo wars bundled. halo wars has japan

Didn't expect them to be selling so closely in numbers

dude its by 4k. don't worry.

Here's why:

1. Much larger US/Others combined userbase for 360, the people who will be buying Halo Wars and Killzone 2

2. Killzone, not a well known franchise. Halo, massive franchise.

Japan is nothing for Halo Wars (20k in one month).

From the Halo Wars page:

Region Japan America Others Total
Total Sales 0.02m 0.62m 0.29m 0.93m
Week 1 13,005 435,206 159,151 607,362
Week 2 4,098 117,397 77,791 199,286
Week 3 2,467 68,564 34,444 105,475
Week 4 1,866 n/a 18,434 20,300

Its week 4 includes NA's week 3 numbers.

From the Killzone 2 page:

Region Japan America Others Total
Total Sales 0.00m 0.64m 0.60m 1.24m
Week 1 n/a 359,354 354,321 713,675
Week 2 n/a 168,700 142,664 311,364
Week 3 n/a 66,700 65,274 131,974
Week 4 n/a 44,240 40,154 84,394

Its week 3 NA numbers were only 2k behind Halo Wars' week 3 NA numbers, despite having a near 100k weaker opening week than Halo Wars. Killzone 2's week 4 in Europe, however, is much stronger than that of Halo Wars. Killzone 2 also has yet to release in Japan, unlike Halo Wars.
