The good or bad part about COD franchise is it comes out once a year, you got Infinity Ward and trechyarch trading back andf forth so they have 2 years to develop it, Killzone was like 4 years and Halo is around the same.

Loved the MOH series but it seems to have died

Same here I thought airborne was brilliant.

Shame EA seem to have dropped it.

There were rumours about MoH Operation Anaconda, in Afghanistan, but I think that was false

I can't believe they would make another WW2 game... though I would probably still end up buying it, assuming you are meaning that CoD would stay WW2, and MW would be as the name implies. I agree about the idea of buying branded every other year, but the sales of WaW would seemingly go against that

I still think Treyarch should stick with a war though. Maybe it's time they venture to Vietnam finally. I would be all up for it, but they would probably have to tone it down a bit from the reality.

I'm not sure about Vietnam, it would certainly make for a different game, I'm not sure what Treyarch should do, but they can't keep making WW2 games forever

They definitely can't keep up WW2 forever, but they need to progress forward. Going back to World War I or earlier is going to get less fun to play. The weapons will get more primitive. Maybe they need to branch out how the game is played. Maybe a wartime game will feel fresh if it's more army based like Battlefield and Warhawk, however people were none too pleased about tanks in COD: WaW and wanted them removed.

Overall it's going to be hard to tell Activision that WW2 is burnt out when COD: WaW is selling as well as it is. Sales do not reflect people tiring out.

people shouldn't whine about tankes. They were in cod 1 ffs :p UO !

Cod 1 was awesome btw. I'd probably still argue it's the best call of duty in some ways :p

Check out my game about moles ^

Play it again staude you will be amazed at the shortcomings compared to todays games.

I mean dont get me wrong good game but compared to now it really does show its age.

cod 4 , 5 and killzone 2 are my favorite shooters this gen.so you are right.

@ reask, no game that old will not show its age, which is why I would only consider getting PS1 games to play on my PSP where they will not feel quite so old. Crash Bandicoot 3 was a great game on release (meta of around 90) but in comparison to modern games it just sucks

I fully agree with you and still think the game is very good but it just made me personally realise how far games have come.

I mean COD 1 was my favourite game many years ago and the follow ups have more than lived up to my expectations barring 3.
