First ,most FF werent even released outside Japan prior to FFVII .In Europe ,for example ,no one .

Second ,we have all played FFVI and such through emulators so dont pretend people dont know what they are talking about .

 Third ,FFV or VI were no doubt good games for the time ,great RPG for the time ,but they sincerely dont make the weight against FFVII ,FFVIII or FFX .Nintendo fans speak constantly about how great a villian Kefka was or how charismatic Terra was but thats nostalgia nothing more .Terra more frequent dialogue was "........." and Kefka a tiny and ridiculous green sprite that laughed like "Ha ha ha !I am bad Ha ha ha !" .Those games had their time ,but comparing those to FFVII is like comparing Manic Miner to Super Mario 64 ,

FF Tactics sold some 300 000 units on the handheld in Japan and it was just a tweaked port of a 10 year old game .Crisis Core could and should do more than 1 million .1.2 million would be a good number that we could consider a success .Less that 500K should be considered a flop ,although probably profitable still .

Anyway, Famitsu reviews are never, ever serious. They will give high marks to popular titles and those that have a lot of buzz. Basically, while CC may be great, Famitsu saying it is doesn't mean jack.

Yes ofcourse, but...FF VII is a top seller. Dont be suprised if it sells 10 million world wide.

CC selling 10million? On a system with an install base less than 25million?

French? So your saying something about a seel? FUck means seel in french. And you expect it to stay at 25million. Remeber this is the same game that brought the ps1 to huge domination.

 

yet still didn't sell 10 million copies on the PS1. And you expect a spin off on a less popular system to outperform the original which many say is the game that made the Playstation?

No offense, I've seen you make some stupid comments, yet this one is perhaps the most ridiculous. If this game sells more than 2 million worldwide, I will be incredibly shocked.

I like how FFVII fanboys can bash the older games even though they have never played them, then criticize people who have played all Final Fantasies but dislike the more recent ones.  Oh and btw, I hate all FFs that weren't on Nintendo consoles?  Yeah, that's why IX is my second favorite.  Because we all know it was the greatest game on the N64 /sarcasm.

Shocked you say? Your opinion is yours and my opinion is mine. I still expect it to sell 1 million in japan by year's end, and 7-10 million wolrd wide.

 For some reason, I think leo just assumes that any game with FF7 in the title will sell 10mil.

Yep. I stick by that. In case you wanted to know of some other games that haven't sold 6 million lifetime Leo-j:

Final Fantasy XII: 4.94 million (Keep in mind this is a main game in the series, and on a platform with 6 times the user base)

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess: 5.0 million between the GC and the Wii.

Gears of War: 4.53 million

GTA: Liberty City Stories: 4.14 million. Current best selling PSP game. Nothing else on the system has even broke 1.5 million.

Pokemon Mysterious Dungeon: 5.1 million copies. No one was kidding when they told you the next game in this series would outsell CC:FFVII Leo-j. It is very likely that it will. The first Pokemon Mysterious Dungeon games outsold everything on the PSP.
