Just the fact that Sony is spending their money on game development instead of marketing is what makes owning a ps3 worth it. More people will find out this fact once they realise some of the best franchises so far are ps3 exclusives...

PS3 = 34-35m

Prediction: The PS3 will surpass the 360 on weekly sales after it drops to $299 on all regular weeks (no big releases).

Yes,i'm a little positive for PS3 future, in my opinion PS3 had an early release, 2007 was a mediocre year for the PS3, but 2008 was very good, but 2009 looking awesome, finally PS3 has a complete line up this year, FPS,TPS,Adventure,Platform(Ratchet or Ape Escape 4?), JRPG and Action.

Sales are ok, but with a price cut for west and a solid line  up for japan sales will be strong, PS3 cycle life reminds me PS1.

 

 

 

I noticed you mentioned the PS1.  As long as you don't expect the PS3 to be the next PS1 you shouldn't be disappointed.

Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack at Time [2] was just announced today.

If you seriously look at the lineup for 2007, it was actually really good. PS3 had Unreal Tournament 3 [Timed exclusive] Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Folklore, Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction.

Can't really say it was that bad.

2009 has sucked so far for the PS3. Too often they hold off on the best game releases until the fall. I do not have a single must play game until King of Fighters XII in July. :(

Really??? i'm still busy with Killzone 2, Street Fighter 4 and Resident Evil 5, Infamous is releasing this summer and hopefully White Knight Chronicles and Demon's Souls will release before or during summer... And MLB 09 is amazing even for people that don't like baseball...

I am taking a wait and see approach to Infamous. Some of the gameplay trailers have been disappointing. I seriously doubt White Knight Chronicles will be released before King of Fighters XII, although when it does come out, yes it is a must play.
