I did the figuring a while back and the second thursday after the NPD reporting period ends, is indeed 9-11, right around the corner. That is if the NPD doesn't do their usual last minute delay.

I just haven't seen any hype or NPD prediction threads around the web yet, so I'm just wondering what the deal is.

Thursday would be the 13th.

If I were you I would bet on the 20th or later. NPD has no competition in their field. They delay all the time because there are no repercussions.

That was freaky! I just opened my calender and it said that Thursday would be the 11th... Then I looked at the year and it was on 2003???

So the US monthly data is released on the 13th hey? not too far off now!

Because I have made them already, Here's my Aug Hardware sales predictions:

Wii - 410K (400K to 420K)
360 - 230K (220K to 240K)
PS3 - 150K (140K to 160K)

Wii surprised me with July selling about 80K more then I expected so I'm gonna gun for the same results for the month of August, if not a little more. (Especially with the lead up to MP3:C)

360 once again outsold the PS3 even though the PS3 had a price drop. I still feel the price is too high and the effect of the $50 price drop will not be much until it drops a further $50. I Feel Halo 3 may give it the boost it's been waiting for but that'll come in the following months, not August.

PS3 - I think it's hit it's peak as we all found out with the July numbers. It'll take another large price drop for this system to start selling better.

Oh yeah the 13 my mistake. I looked at the wromg "t" on my calender for Tuesday. Still very near.
