I predict Iwata will be very polite and jovial.

Games are a bonus.

I predict there will be 15 minutes to half an hour of gloating about sales with tons of powerpoint slides that we'll be able to use in arguments about HW/SW sales later on.

What happens after that I don't know.

Iwata may illustrate the point by eating a pie.

So many people that will be disappointed...

Really, you create the expectations, and then you blame Nintendo for not going the way of the imaginarium you created...

I don't see see many people with big expectations, not in this thread at least.

I predict graphs and charts showing Nintendo's profits for the majority of the conference. Then a couple of casual game announcements, blah, blah new peripheral, blah, blah "we turned our backs on old fans and got filthy rich, why would we want to go back now?"

SOMETHING BIG IS HAPPENING - From a German site ---

Nintendo - Sets new titles on the front of GDC
More info from 18:15 to GamePro.de 25.03.2009, 13:24
(max. 2 hours ago)

At a Nintendo press conference at the Games Developers Conference in San Francisco wants Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata today at 18:15 a new game imagine. GamePro is since yesterday in San Francisco on the spot and was already with several developers about Nintendo's new project to speak.

Unfortunately, the info still an embargo - that is before 18:15, we should no facts about the new Nintendo-published game. But if you punctually at 18:15 at GamePro.de vorbeisurft, you can find here a detailed preview for the game, the first pictures and an interview with the responsible producer.

-----
So not sure whether we will know what it is before 6pm but we will see if the journalists can keep quite.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

No? F-Zero? Zelda? Pilotwings? New Pikmin? What? ;)

Really, he is going to talk about the recent PhysX support, maybe talk about a couple of Wiiware/VC titles, Wiimotion plus, maybe HDD, and I don't see what else.

Those were just possibilities, not expectations. You know, with the question mark and all.
