Forums - Sales - UK: Chinatown Wars sales only half of VCS PSP sales, RE5 still number one

It's not like the PSP version has stopped selling. VCS and LCS often fluctuate between 4k - 7k each, every week. And that's just from the Americas.

Could I see examples of legs for DS games? Please? Not that I don't believe it, I just want to see it.

Sonic Rush.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

Is that it? There has to be more.

There's tons. Too many to list. Just check the weekly charts right now.

I'm checking it now, and I see why he listed Sonic Rush. But it took 2 years to reach 2 million in sales. I don't think it will be similar to Rush, because it opened up to bigger sales. But, I need to check games not made by Nintendo that had legs.

There are many many DS games that have sold really well. There are less if you only count third parties. There are less if you only count 'core' efforts. There are less than that if you only count ones that sell on legs rather than a traditional front-heavy sale. Considering all these conditions, and my few moments of looking, I found one so far.

So, it sold 64k in its first 2 days. That is excellent, considering the legs that are to be expected from this title. I guess people (including me!) jumped to conclusions too soon again.

Chinatown Wars will outsell Vice City Stories easily, no problem.

Does Lego Star Wars count as 'core'? (of course, if you will accept non-core games I can give many more results).

I would like games Rated M (or whatever it is in EU) that showed similar sales. Not made by Nintendo. Sonic Rush is a good start, but M rated titles would work the best, because of the limit it sets on itself.

Okay, yeah, it can beat GTA:VCS, depending on second week sales.
