Microsoft will get over this. Its just Sony talking trash, which doesn't really mean a whole lot one way or the other.

It's funny, but I'd hardly take it as a statement about the values or practices of Sony. They've got a big staff. And that staff is human beings. If the internet has taught us anything, it's that a high percentage of human beings are idiots. Some intern goes on the net at lunch and edits some random crap on wiki. It's stupid of them for sure, but it's not worth anything more than a chuckle.

Anyone have a link to the Wikipedia edit page where this happened? Because I just went back through August edits and I don't see anything of the like... and Wikipedia does not erase edits.
It's a beautiful thing being able to see the edits made, and none of them are even close to this claim.

Anybody can do that, I can do that, I can edit any incorrect information on wikipedia, and put watever name I want.
You can't take the IP address of Sony's location and put "Sony" as the editor...

It was not an username, it was a so called "anonymous edit" which gets labeled with the IP address of the computer used for editing the page. That IP address can be traced to SCEE (I've verified this myself and anyone can do it using ip2location for example - google it).
