Forums - PC - Starcraft 2 Single Player requires Battle.Net INstall? OK with you?

I have installed Steam for Half-Life 2,but its rather annoying.

New battle.net is gonna be required play Starcraft as far as I can tell.

Will Steam and Battle.net coexsist?

What do you mean Battle.net install? If I'm not mistaken SC2 comes with SC2, not the other way around.

Sound like a piracy protection feature. I doubt something like this would be in the game, though I haven't been following it so what do I know?

Seems like quite a few PC games are doing online verification when the game boots up and such. Personally, I don't like it at all. :|

Person 1: Does Valkyria Chronicles have trophies?
Person 2:  No.
Person 1: Forget it. I'm not buying it.
Person 2: Wait! It's amazing! Unique, charming, drop dead gorgeous... Hello?

Battle.net 2.0 is like steam.

Enter Cd Key get download of game.

This means you have to launch battle net first to play SC2

Probably no offline play even for single player.

Steams competitor has arrived

It requires install? No thanks, I'd rather not be forced to install something in order to play a game. That's why I pretty much boycott Steam and Valve, looks like I'll have to do the same to Blizzard. Shame, as I was pretty interested in Diablo III (but not at all in Starcraft 2). That is, if it really needs to be installed.

That's now how I read it, but I was in a hurry, when I get back from work I'll tell you jsut how much is true. From what I know it's the same shit as before, no need to be online at all. You CAN register your CD-keys online if you want to download them, but you don't HAVE to. Only if you want MP too, so if you want MP, then you are online anyways.
