can we please stop comparing wii games to ps2, it's not really fair.

Have you played No More Heroes? It's full of nerdy humour, especially video game humour. It absolutely reeks of 'cult', in fact it revels in it. I didn't actually complete No More Heroes, but I was present as my housemate completed it and I watched all of the boss-fights. The only people I could recommend it to are my fellow nerds.

Well facts are that none of the big budget projects (mainly from Ninty) have failed on the Wii and thats a fact. And this will continue

The good games on the Wii also tend to sell (but its also hard to define what a good game is) but apart from few, games considered good like NMH, Call of Duty, De blob, boom blox do make nice profit for their devs, because of development cost on the wii

Small studios with limited amount of staff ex. Suda, are able to make money with 400k copies sold.

I dont think anyone can argue that good games do not sell on the Wii, the problem lies that there are not enough big budget titles put on that platform, therefore everyone expect a decent (but small budget game ) to hit a million.

Buying my Wii was almost as big of a mistake as buying a my PSP. All i can say is there better be some good games for the Wii this year or i'm gonna be pissed.

      Have you ever watched a Tarantino movie?  Even though they're mainly crime and action movies they are full of nerdy humour especially film geek humor.  And they absolutely reek of 'cult'.  Tarantino revels in being a 'cult' movie director.  The only people I would recommend them to are fans of cult films like myself.  Yet that hardly ever stops them from being the number one films at the box office in their first week(s) of release.

The craziest thing about this statement is that, if the Wii doesn't sell quality games, yet its selling the most software this gen, what happens when the quality hits arrive? Or do people believe that day won't come?

Nintendo's 1st party games are a strength their competitors wish they had. The games games that have executed well have sold well. TBH I don't think the Wii has received the big budget title yet that can prove the OP right or wrong. But It does sell software, there's no denying that.

The other side of the coin is, why haven't the HD consoles received those "niche" games? I mean besides the fps and tps, what else we got? I think people forget about the DS/PSP situation, it is damn near identical. The same exact words, phrases and ideologies were used then too.

I may sound like a broken record, but I don't give a damn..And besides, many of you in here sound like one too;) Fad, no games, weak specs, last gen, it feels like a groundhog day.
