You are essentially trying to prove that cult is mainstream by using the exception to the rule. For every Pulp Fiction there are, how many Firefly's are there that have no mainstream success. I could use a similar argument to show that Star Wars proves that sci-fi is a popular mainstream genre, or I could say that The Lord of the Rings proves that everybody loves Fantasy novels. Of course that doesn't prove that at all, both are still predominantly niche genres, with exceptions.

Bringing up GTA makes me have to ask again, did you play No More Heroes? Acting like they're similar, even in humour or style, indicates to me that you don't know the game you're talking about.

From your other post though, you seem to be making the fallacy that internet hype = real life hype. But we have to remember that the internet pulls enthusiasts together so that it's never a reflection of society.

The question is what games are evidence of the Wii not selling quality games.

None of you trolls have provided evidence of this, in fact what you are saying is that no company has bothered to make quality games for the Wii anyway.

So basically, if this is right, the Wii can easily sell quality games but only if they are made for it in the first place.

I agree, although i dispute shooters and gun heavy shootfests as a testament to quality, thats even stupider.

i'm aggree with your comment : Quality is relative ! For my taste, I prefer game like Zelda, Metroid and Mario Galaxy than Killzone 2 or Rachet... In my point of view the PS3 doesn't have quality game but it's only my opinion...

I want to ask you guys how many of those 'AAA' games are recent? How many come from Nintendo and how many of them actually have mainstream appeal??

Wii allows developers to spend less money on development which while it can turn out that titles of lesser quality come of it.. It also means that they can survive.. I can guess of the next few to hit that list there.. Grand Slam Tennis, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, Punch-Out!!, The Conduit, Monster Hunter 3, Pikmin 3, Red Steel 2, Maybe CoD: MW2 (unless its gimped) and Zelda Wii.. So people reasoning that Wii doesn't have many quality titles are probably right.. All the big hopes, DC, MadWorld, HotD: Overkill, they all had issues such as length etc..

The Conduit is a nice example, it'll be a great Wii game with some of the best controls of any console shooter and it'll push the Wii hardware but it will not have the budget and scope of any of the HD shooters and it's completely stupid to blame the console that plays the software for the software not selling when if people are buying the console and not software, it's obviously the software that's the problem.

Last time I checked 70,505 = 3,525,250 in revenue split up between publishers, retailers and developers.  Plus thats a better opener then CoD W@W which is now at a million.  So it's best to come back to this in a few months to say if it's selling or not.

 Name 3 hack and slash games this gen with a better opening. The genre has never been a huge seller, and never will be. Madworld is exceptionally short, and really weird style. The sales are pretty decent so far all things considered.
