My point was... use ONE method for counting game sales for ALL platforms, doesn't matter which one you choose. Just one for all, no excuses. Otherwise that's bias.
//X360 bundles: Halo 3, The Simpsons Game, Resident Evil 5, Forza Motorsport 2, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Viva Pinata, Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, Kung Fu Panda, Sega Superstars Tennis. |
The difference is this:
Outside of Japan, you have to buy WiiSports to buy a Wii, and the title is not available on its own.
If you wanted to buy the 360 without Halo3, you could, so it is fair to assume most if not all bundled Halo3 sales were to people who wanted and would have bought Halo 3 as a stand alone game. Kung Fu Panda, not so much. There is simply going to be a lot of guess work in figuring out how many Lego Indy sales were stand alone, and how many bundled. Moreover, as your list indicates, this isn't being done with one title or three, but many.
Conversely, I'd include WiiFit, as for a long time that was the only game that actually used the controller. There is no more reason to ignore WiiFit than there is Mario Kart or Link's Crossbow Training.
So present all the easy data with whatever context you want, and the reader can make their own conculsions as to which is the most accurate measure (which is essentially what he did, and what you are doing now).
