I'm glad deathspank made status.  Its a really good game, potentially one of my all time favorite XBLA games so far.  I hear its a bit short, and that's sad because I would pay almost retail price if they could triple the game length and add a couple of different classes.

I didn't really plan on going arcade crazy the last couple of weeks but Gamefly screwed me, Lost Planet 2 got lost in return, threw me off getting Crackdown 2 and gave me a two week period of having just absolutely nothing to play.

I plan on getting Limbo and Castlevania but that's probably it for me as far as summer of arcade goes.

I want to polish off my remaining 7 achievements in Dead Rising but I need to print some guides and set aside the time to do it.  And of course that brings me to the XBLA version of Dead Rising coming out and I already put 15 dollars in credit down towards preorder for part 2.

If anyones keeping track that is 2, count em, two games I will have bought this year going into October.  Not counting XBLA.  Last year I probably purchased at least 20-25 or so.

Also I got all my licenses transfered to my current box.  That was suprisingly pain free.  I figure I'll be able to transfer them again in a year, at which point I need to upgrade to the slim, mainly for drive space.

It is amazing what I've been able to do with less than 10 free gigs though, basically haven't needed a new drive yet.  Although I toyed around with the install game feature on Sacred 2 and it basically took all the loading issues I hated and fixed them all.  So I can see the appeal there.

I did a license transfer in January to my MW2 console.  Then, I bought the slim, and I am not allowed to do a license transfer again until this coming January.  This means that I have to be on XBox Live for any of my DLCs to work...  Kind of a drag.

LICENSE TRANSFER ADVICE:  If anyone does a license transfer, immediately follow it up by going into every game that you bought through Live.  If you don't, and that console dies, you will not be able to play the game until your next license transfer date...  I know from experience.

@Neo, yeah, I kind of have that fear that my box dies now.  But it is a Jasper so hopefully it can hold up for more than a year or so at a time.  I would take your advice on transfering to get ALL my games, but truth is... half of them, like Hexic, I really don't care about saving.  But I'm in the process of saving all the ones I want.

I would agree the Internet thing is a drag, having to be on Live and all that.  But truthfully as much as I've always felt that, I can count the times I've been without Internet since I bought the 360 on one hand.  I can count the number of times I've been without Internet and felt the need to play an old arcade game on zero fingers.

I think its a bigger deal than I've previously made it out to be.  I would ditch DirecTV before losing my Internet.  In today's world I'm not sure not having Internet will ever really be an issue for most people.  I would be more concerned that at any given point Microsoft can discontinue any give download.  But even at that, just to find peace with this whole DLC thing, I realized that honestly as long as you play the game, get what you feel is your moneys worth, lets just say I've come to peace with the fact that I may be buying things I don't really own 5 years from now.  You buy a game for 10 bucks, enjoy it, I guess its like a quick and easy fling in the regard.  Now if arcade prices reach full retail, then I'll have to question everything deeper.

you can download items that are no longer on the marketplace through your download history.

Correct.  But if you license transferred, and then your console died, then you got a new one, the licenses will not work until you are able to transfer again.  (You can actually go into the games in demo mode, then "buy the full license" in the game itself (of which it will just initiate the download again), then it will work until you exit the game...  But it is really annoying...

Internet access is precious for me...  I have it everywhere imaginable in my life.  I even went to the effort of buying my father and mother in law a computer and internet access at their home even though they don't use it themselves just so I can be connected as much as possible.  But there are still times when we go camping in remote places that I can't get consistent access.

As for TV.  It can just go away as far as I'm concerned.  Gaming is much more interactive, keeps the mind sharp, and is far more interesting.

@Neo, as someone who pays 100 dollars a month on t.v. I don't watch (others in the house do) I couldn't agree more.  I have a couple shows I like, deadliest warrior is excellent.  But with things like Netflix, Zune and DVDs, t.v. service seems almost pointless now days.

As for redownloading, I had to get Smash TV that way, by going into my download history.  But I could swear when I deleted a few games it actually told me something like "this item is no longer available on xbox live, if you delete it you will not be able to download it again."  So I don't know what that was about.

What creeps me out is I had near 600 downloads... do you know how much money that is?  I mean, I don't know exactly, but with the knickle and dime stuff it is so easy to spend 10 here, 5 there, and not really realize how much money you've spent over all.  It really does add  up.

If you pay for content it is always available.  The only time I have seen content unavailable was stuff I didn't pay for.  I have 1342 items in my purchase history...  For the rest of the year I am focusing on decreasing the backlog...
