PS3 just got 2 of its 3 biggest games yet ( Yakuza, RE5 and MGS4 are those 3) and it has barely recovered about 60k on the wii. It is not getting anything of that size for the rest ( FFXII is just a demo, it won`t have a impact as big as you think). It wont be even close to the Wii.

On topic: No. Even if PS3 has big game release each month until the end of the year, it is still unlikely to happen. And we all know that there is gonna be a quiet period after FFVII AC/FFXIII demo is released. Also, if FFXIII is released at the end of the year, it won't help PS3 to sell 500,000 more units.

 



MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

For a moment i forgot Japan is the games in this thread. But I could see it effecting Red Steel, not so much Call of Duty.

Nope. Not going to happen. The PS3's been getting hit after hit for the past few months and all that's managed to do is let the system trail a little closer behind the Wii, which has yet to receive any of its big hitters for the year (of which it has several).

If FFXIII and GT5 hit Japan before the year is out, and it receives a price cut at some point, then it *might* happen.
