The first quote about Okami not selling well was very shortly after it's release. The other about it selling well, is much more recent. It probably has continued to sell like several Wii games do (legs).

it seems to me he makes shallow statements based to back Capcoms current release schedule up.

A year or so ago when he claimed Okami didn't sell was when Capcom had absolutely nothing in the pipeline for he wii and now they have MH3, RE classics and RE Dark Chronicles alone with Spyborgs getting nearer - he make this revised statement that their wii offerings is what the public wants.

He's just a corporate puppet!!
