Death Race (1976, Arcade)

Inspired by the cult film Death Race 2000, this 1976 coin-op challenged players to run down humanoid "gremlins" while avoiding tombstones left in their wake. While its graphics seem primitive by today's standards, it was labeled "sick" by countless media outlets, earning it the title of the world's first controversial video game.

LBP was kinda wrong.... as it was just sony who pulled it back. Nothing really bad happened....and it wasn't controversial.

Take out LBP and Resistance and everything seems right

I'm surprised GTA IV and God of War aren't up there. GTA IV stirred so much controversy on the news, you couldn't watch it without hearing one thing about it. God of War is so violent, how did it not get up there? lol
