Forums - Gaming - Which do you like playing video games on the most?Consoles,PC,or handhelds?

HD Consoles for me.

Handhelds = NEVER.
Handhelds, in my opinion, are for kids. School, transportation and stuff...

PC... only for Starcraft.

So, my ranking:

1) Xbox 360
2) Playstation 3
3) PC

I enjoy videogames on a home theater setup, big sound and big screen, nothing less.

Tiny screen = Not acceptable
480p resolution = Not acceptable
Sitting on a computer chair = Not acceptable
Stereo sound = Not acceptable

My Gaming Setup

Around the Network

I started out on PC games because they generally offered a large library with the most options for customization and depth of game play (and I've always had a computer). I just got tired of buying a game that needed tweaks and patches just to work with my video or sound card or needing to upgrade my machine every 6 months to keep up with new requirements. I bought a PS2 back in 2002 and started drifting away from the PC. (Vista was the final nail in that coffin). Originally I intended to buy a PS3 but the price made me wait and then they discontinued the backwards compatible version all together so I had less of a reason to stick with Sony. After playing with a friends Wii system my family really wanted one so I bought one and we've been happy with it. I don't really have the time to play that I used to so I'm finding the Wii to be enough system for me. I only had two friends that would play the PS2 when they came over whereas the Wii attracts any and everyone because the controls are so easy to learn. I think my kids will be choosing the next system we buy but I see the Wii having some legs in our household because my wife and her friends use it too. That surprised the hell out of me before the Wii my wife didn't think much of video games now we have Wii Fit and it's not uncommon to find her playing Shaun White with it when she thinks nobody's home.

I still don't understand how people still have this idea that PC gaming = Small screen + desk and chair + keys/mouse. That isn't to say PCs don't have their downsides, but my gaming PC sits hooked up to my TV along with my consoles, so I can play from my couch, and for a large number of games (especially anything that is also on 360) I have the option of using keyboard/mouse OR a 360 controller (or any other input of choice).

That said, from a pure gaming experience I'd generally prefer PC hands down, but consoles and handhelds have their place, and when it's their turn to shine, out they come.

Consoles primarily.

I like the PC occasionally.

PC for RTS and FPS (mostly)

Console for relaxing fun, some FPS (console exclusives) but mainly I'm looking for games like Uncharted, LBP, Assassin's Creed, Street Fighter, Flower, etc. from consoles.

Handheld when I travel (which is a fair bit) so I'm glad to see the PSP really taking off in Japan now as that's my handheld of choice. I need a new one though, and some more good games.

I probably play PS3 the most, followed by PSP then PC right now. Wii comes in last but I do enjoy playing the sports/mini-game titles with my kids.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Consoles are best or everything beside FPS or RTS. I don't play RTS a lot, and PC FPS's are too high in reqs, so consoles all the way.

Consoles then handheld,Consoles are more Comfortable dats why they are first...Mine and my younger brother saimcheeda's gaming consoles to date are:

1)N64 1997-2000
2)PlayStation 2003-Present
3)PlayStation 2 2005-Present
4)PSP 2008-Present

We hope to buy the PS3 by May 2009!!!!!!

PLAYSTATION® is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

Consoles the most. I rarely use handhelds and almost never use the PC for gaming.

Consoles, I barely use handhelds and PC only really for total war games

1. Consoles
2. PC
3. Handhelds

I spend plenty of time playing each category. PC will probably be #1 once I upgrade.
