Battlefield Bad Company 2 > Modern Warfare 2
I've never played any Sly games, but I've always heard that Ratchet was better. I'd say that Ratchet and Clank is an amazing series, and it's one of my all time favorites.
Off topic, but I do still want to try the Jak games, since I've heard they're even better than the Ratchet games!
EDIT: And yes, my avatar and sig show my clear bias towards Ratchet and Clank. What can I say, I love those games!
