Forums - Gaming - Prince of Persia ignored? (May have some spoilers)

I loved this game when I first picked it up, but after 2 hours of doing the same thing over and over and over, I got really bored. I'm more than halfway through, I only have a few areas left, but I find the motivation to play this game. All you do is press A over and over.

Actually the game was utter crap. I couldn't finish it at all, I'm only half way through (however you measure half way in this game). It is in fact the worst, and I mean, WORST platforming I have ever seen. You press A, within 10 yards of a cliff, and then it turns into a quicktime event where you usually press A again within a 2 second time frame to continue. Oh yeah, sometimes you press the Y and B as well.... sometimes. There, I just summed up 90% of this game.

I won't even go into the retarded combat of the game. I'll just say that it requires to memorize a sequence of 8 (could have been 10) button presses, and when an enemy does something special just cut down those 10 down to the section where they become invulnerable. Do tha over and over and over. I just assummed up the last 10% of the game.

Graphic wise it IS absolutely amazing especially when you do a 1920x1200 resolution, everything on high. Quite literally breathtaking. Then again so are these pictures I got for FREE off the internet.

This game has NOTHING goof form the lasst games. NOTHING. The only decent thing is Elika, and some of the dialogue got on my nerves. Some however was quite witty. Which reminds me, the storytelling was utter shit in the game.

i agree with this in every way and i loved prince of persia when i played it on GC, but they're just recycling the same damn game and it isn't fresh anymore.  I played it for about 4 hours and i'm not playing it again, it was extremly repetitive, you can literally get through the game by just jumping around like a fool because the platforming is way too forgiving.  What is even the point of the battles?  Can you even die?  I spent so much time getting the crap beaten out of me but couldn't seem to die.

The graphics though were amazing, i loved the style that's why i rented it.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

I was also very impressed by this game, but my brother not so much. I didn't care that it was too easy. It made the hunt for the white orbs much easier and more fun. I probably wouldn't have collected them all, unless the Prince wasn't immortal.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

I am playing this at the moment and really enjoying it!

I thought that the voice was the same as Nathan Drake but couldn't be too sure, thanks for confirming that!

I have it and rather enjoyed it. Unfortunately the DLC Epilogue isn't on the portuguese PSN store yet. Which isn't all that bad since I probably wouldn't buy it for the blatant rip-off of 3 extra hours of game that should have been included in the original.

Edit: Yes, the Prince's voice actor is the same as Nathan Drake's in the english version of the game.

Thats exactly how i felt when i played mario galaxy. I love the game, but it bored me and i didn't finish it.

He is Nolan North, he has worked on loads and loads of games, but only really as himself in these 2, he also worked on Assassin's Creed as Desmond

I really enjoyed the game, people might moan that it is too easy, when it is very very relaxing having played masses of GeoW 2, and it is great to just sit back, and mostly watch. I also is an easy 1000g

Once I read the reviews from multiple sources, I decided to avoid the game. The traded linear gameplay for open world, which really screwed with the difficulty curve and upped the cost. This probably led to what people here are describing as "it started interesting, but after a couple hours got boring".

I would not call it the worst platforming game, but rather biggest platforming disappointment.

Thanks guys, you sold me on this. I'll look for it next time I'm renting a game from BB.
