8.0	Presentation The menu systems are classic Pro Evo ugliness, but the on-field user interface is very functional and looks nice. Great use of the Wii's IR.
7.0	Graphics Players look far too angular and jaggy. The crowd graphics are nearly laughable, thankfully the animations come through to right the ship a bit.
7.0	Sound The sounds of the stadium lets you know you're in a heated match, but the announcers be more descript and lively. Things are also a little too dead on the field.
9.0	Gameplay This is one hell of a soccer game. For as daunting as the learning curve is, the benefit is huge once you get your head around the intricacies of playing offense and defense.
8.5	Lasting Appeal There is a ton of modes, but sadly most are straight out of last year’s game. That doesn’t make them any less fun, and UEFA is huge for soccer gurus. Mii play is fun too.

Lower than last year?

Every other review I've seen has been above a 90.
I think it was GamePro, ONM and some other publication.

Let's see what IGN UK will give it. They know more about football games than IGN US. -_-

Come on, if this is an improvement why's the score lower?

Good Score, i will be picking up this version ( so many games to buy) but i think 8.5 is a fair score. Last years game was a revolution that why it got such high reviews, now Konami have made corrections and improvements but they could've done more especially with visuals (not that i care that much but it still looks only a bit better then PS2 version, and Wii can do much much better)

What i hate about it is that we are getting this game in March, when it should've been released at this same time as the other versions.

They made that because when it will get outsell for the PS3 version they can blame that the Wii is only for casuals.

Gamplay got 9.0 then it good enough to play this one. :)

Because it needs to more than just a polished version of last year's game to get a higher score.

That's the usual problem with sports game. The newest Maddens will start to get worse scores despite being better games than the last iteration.
