I think we are all hitting along the same lines. The article does shoot itself in the foot, but again I say, if you are looking for a stereotypical adult female who is raised as such then this article makes decent points. You know, the typical girl that is the subject of many upon many of chick flick movies? Like Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry Met Sally, etc. Heck, even Pretty Woman would have only stayed with a guy like that because she wouldn't have thought she could get any better. I think most girls dream of getting that shining prince who is everything that these movies set the guy out to be. At least that is what many girls are trained to "think" is what they want.
But I think what it boils down to is the guy giving the girl the attention she wants. Is he playing games all day or is he so into his hobbies that he doesn't care for her? Rich, nerdy, gamer, sports fan, etc. It doesn't matter as long as the girl feels special whenever she needs to feel special. You can do that no matter your interests, but its tougher when you are obsessive like a lot of "nerdy" types and gamers are. though wfz is right that this is not what the article set itself out to be.
