1. No console war has been decided by graphics. Ask the PS2, PS1, Wii, DS, and NES. The SNES was the only true amazing superpowerhouse that ever won, but that's even debatable.

2. Generations are strictly historical terms. They refer to periods of time and nothing else.

The 7th generation started with the DS, and it includes every system that came out after the DS, including the Vii, and the Wu, and the Gizmondo, and several others.

I like my graphics and I decide my generations by it. You guys think differently and thats understandable, but this is just what I think. I just want to know if I'm the only person that thinks like this or not. You don't have to all prove me wrong lol

Also, I know you say 'it's just your opinion', but it's not really the kind of thing that each person can decide based on their own opinions. It's like saying you don't consider George Bush the 43rd president because he was stupid. Presidentiality isn't determined by intelligence (unfortunately), and console generations are not determined by graphics.

That's just stupid. It IS part of this generation. Why would you exclude a gaming console from a generation just because its graphics aren't on par?

You can consider them separate parts of the industry if you want, but a generation is a period of time.  Is a person's ugly sister not the same generation as her beautiful twin?  Sorry, but there are some things that just can't be argued.
