Hello

I confirm it, its worse now.

Until today if was browsing vgchartz with firefox (with noscript and java addons), i had no problems.  With IE, it was trojans fest.

Today for the first time, even with firefox, nod32 is detecting a trojan...

I have faith in you ioi but act quick because if this virus thing is not your number one priority at the moment, this site is gonna fall apart. :(

Bye.

I am trying.

Aside from wiping the site and just restarting everything from scratch I don't really have a solution at the moment.

Please bear with me on this.

If it's just the forums, delete it and start over.

Somehow, a virus / bot / hacker keeps re-writing my header file and adding an iframe with a link to a trojan site. I have made the header read-only, I have changed ftp passwords, looked for php holes but can't find anything as yet. If anyone has any ideas then let me know!

Also if people can let me know what problems they are having, when they occur, what warnings they get and so on then I can try different things to fix it.

Thanks

ioi

Usualy when stuff like this occurs it's due to having FTP access which is insecure or admin logins to the server which are insecure. I suggest you change all of your logins and if you have FTP access to the server. Turn it off! If you want help with this problem send me a private message and I'll discuss various ways to protect the site.

....or you all could use Firefox. Why install all of those additional programs to run in the background eating up your resources. Just use FF.

because just FF didn't work it in my case. no script and adblock seem to work. typing and eating supper/breakfast is awkward.'

What ever company is hosting your server should be able to track what IP address is modifying what file. At that point you can either take legal steps or the company should be able to block that perticular IP.

JMAN has posted the following sites to add to your IE7 block list

www.symboliclynx.com
www.mediacount.net
www.wanrzcvupf.hk

and go see this thread as it is likely to be updated!!

Hello

It's really sad and very bad for the reputation of the site :

vgcharts is now part of the badware sites on google and when you wanna connect on vgcharts via google, you have this warning :

Warning - visiting this web site may harm your computer!

Good luck, ioi, i hope you will find a solution soon.

Bye.
