They can and they have. Most all are open to the public if you know where to look. For example the recent one from Nintendo about a system to give clues durin gameplay believed to be for a new Zelda game from the pics.

A few thoughts:

- Shoots out holograms using Blu-ray 3D technology. Would also be cool for a Star Wars game and used as R2D2.
- Used for upskirt games and such. Very popular in Japan. PS3 Ero Vision.
