At this point, what can we hype some screenshots and a pre-alpha trailer. Uncharted: Among Thieves will be the biggest PS3 exclusive released this fall (sorry CGI, but it edges out Heavy Rain). As Naughty Dog continues to release new media the hype will build. You will see this at GDC next week, E3 in the summer, and when they drop the demo in late August(guess). I really hope they release this game in September so it doesn't have to compete will all of the games that typically drop in October. I expect this game will sell 2 million and get the 90+ metacritic that Drake's Fortune deserved.

the original Uncharted, Motorstorm, and Resistance were also bundled. So of course their sales would end up higher than the original unless the sequels get bundled.

Because they were bundled heavily, people overstated their actual importance in genuine sales. Uncharted is the same.

I partially agree. we will have very good 3rd party titles this year.
But if i am right(from looking at the screen shots) Uncharted 2 is going to have co-op. If that's the case then i think it will do very good.
Something like "gears" but with some platforming sounds good.

The general impressions from this thread seem to indicate that Motor Storm Pacific Rift and R2 bombed. Motor Storm: PR is at 830k and will easily cross the million barrier and R2 is at 1.5 million and should end up around 2 million. (Both titles will probably be bundled at some point.) Sony could use a lot more bombs like these. Both games were built on existing engines so the development costs for each title is pretty low. Both titles have made Sony some pretty good money.

@CGI - Heavy Rain will be close, but I love the gameplay of Uncharted.

I disagree as i think Uncharted 2 will actually benefit from the sales of the previous game as it has established the game as a new franchise and therefore the game should sell similar numbers to the previous game.

Another thing going for it is that the genre it covers, being action/adventure is not as over-run as the FPS and Racing genre's are!

I for one loved the first game, it is one of the only PS3 games that i have played though a few times, other than Resistance, and will be getting the second one day one

 I wonder if u get paid by Qauntic Dreams to do promotion for HEAVY RAIN like that in every damn thread. ^^
